Senior DevOps Developer (Java)

Core Responsibilities

• Engage in analyzing requirements and contributing to the design phase of software projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to develop software architectures and designs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java.
• Perform application testing and deployment processes.
• Review, refine, and optimize existing software to improve functionality and performance.
• Maintain documentation throughout the secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide ongoing technical support and expertise for applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in deploying and configuring Java-based enterprise applications (e.g., Java EE, JBoss, Spring Boot).
• Experience working with message brokers and event-driven systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Proficiency with database management and migration tools (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase).
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Maven, Artifactory).
• Practical knowledge of container orchestration and monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Strong SQL skills, with the ability to extend and optimize queries.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java software development.
• Strong command of English and Italian; proficiency in German is an added benefit.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud-native principles and practices.
• Knowledge of database security techniques, particularly in encryption methods like MSQL Always Encrypted.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Exposure to distributed systems architecture and related tooling.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Java.
