We are seeking a highly skilled Ethical Hacker (Penetration Tester) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities in our clients' systems, applications, and networks. Your expertise will help strengthen our clients' security posture and protect their critical assets from potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Penetration Testing:
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Simulate real-world attacks to assess the effectiveness of existing security measures and defenses.
Vulnerability Assessment:
- Perform vulnerability assessments using both automated tools and manual testing techniques.
- Analyze and prioritize identified vulnerabilities based on risk and potential impact.
Reporting:
- Document findings in detailed reports, outlining vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, and remediation recommendations.
- Present findings to clients and assist in developing action plans to address security gaps.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with development and IT teams to ensure security best practices are implemented.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals to stay updated on the latest threats, tools, and techniques.
Research and Development:
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques.
- Develop and improve testing methodologies and tools to enhance penetration testing effectiveness.
Compliance:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Skills
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, and others.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application architectures.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and custom tool development.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to think like a malicious attacker to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and interact with clients.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or GPEN (GIAC Penetration Tester) are highly preferred.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Familiarity with threat modeling and security architecture design.
