Job Description

Media LLC. This includes divisions such as Ad Sales, TV Distribution, Universal Pictures International, Universal Products & Experiences, and many others. GCFO's mission is to facilitate sales, accelerate cash flow, mitigate risk, and provide excellent customer service.

As the Manager, Finance, you will lead the data analytics project. Your responsibilities will include performing complex reconciliations between NBCU legal agreements, translating these agreements into NBCU finance systems, and managing the corresponding datasets received from customers. You will navigate large datasets, reconciling numerous titles, territories, and licensing windows with the payment terms agreed upon in contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong affinity for data analytics, the ability to work independently and as part of a large global team, and a team-first mindset. You should be eager to align with cross-functional colleagues and possess a natural curiosity for finding answers through data analysis. Additionally, you should be detail-oriented, with a solid understanding of billing, cash applications, and internal controls. A passion for process improvement and the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment are essential.

10 month fixed term contract

Responsibilities

• The Manager Data Analytics is responsible for overseeing the reconciliation progress of a specified dataset within a control framework established by NBCU's Risk & Compliance team.
• Conduct detailed data analytics to align NBCU data with external data sources.
• Resolve discrepancies in data through innovative thinking and problem-solving.
• Generate reports on progress and identified issues.
• Identify, recommend, and support optimization efforts through continuous improvements and technology-enabled solutions (e.g., RPA). Assist in process automation projects by participating in analysis, UAT testing, and communicating results.
• Maintain limited contact with external parties to gain clarity when datasets are unclear.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promptly resolve complex cases.
  
  

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in complex reconciliations, preferably within the media industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong skills in data mining and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.
• Extensive knowledge of key performance indicators in order-to-cash processes.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
