Reporting to the Development Manager, and as an integral part of Questel’s Software Development Team, this role is responsible for assisting the Architect and Dev Manager in architectural direction, aiding in the mentoring of less experienced developers, and providing new functionality and maintenance to existing custom software. Responsibilities may include being a team lead when necessary. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating quality solutions that solve critical business problems, skilled in the Microsoft stack, experienced in a professional setting, and eager to work in a collaborative environment

Your Main Responsibilities

• Take on Agile Stories and develop new features on a cutting-edge web application.
• Work as a full stack developer with a primary focus on the frontend part, utilizing technologies such as Vue.JS, Nuxt, React, Typescript. Be ready to jump in on the backend when needed, working with .Net Core, ASP.Net, SQL, Entity Framework, SOA, Microservices.
• Propose architecture and solution creation as needed.
• Provide mentoring and development to less experienced developers on the team.
• Work in an Agile team environment collaborating with other great developers.
• Collaboratively engage in Pair-programming, code reviews, and unit test creation.
• Interface with Product Owner, users, and UX designers to create best of breed usability.
• Continually look for ways to improve the code, the system, and the processes.

🎯 The perfect match....

• Minimum five years’ software development experience
• Technical Degree (preferably Bachelor’s in Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.
• Expert in front-end development: at least four years of experience developing in Vue.JS and/or React, Typescript
• Proficient in back-end development: at least four years of experience developing in .Net Core, C# Asp.Net, MS SQL with Entity Framework
• Recent experience in Azure Devops with Git source control
• Expert level SQL database design, development, and querying experience.
• Expert level understanding of Object Oriented concepts
• Strong understanding of web application and microservice design patterns with the ability to identify anti-patterns and suggest remediation options
• Strong Software Architecture skills
• Excellent soft skills for working with people inside and outside the team
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Experience working in an Agile or paired programming environment preferred
• Sound web GUI programming and design experience
• Position is for a Full Stack Developer with full ability to work in all tiers of a Microsoft based web structure
