Network Engineer

Network Engineer - Up to €72,000 Gross - Zoetermeer, Hybrid

Corecom and I have partnered with software engineering and data science company who deliver sustainable solutions in many sectors across Europe. They are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong background in networking and systems administration to join the dynamic infrastructure team.

This is a critical role within the IT department, focusing on network segmentation, system maintenance, and design. You'll be involved in high-level projects, including network hardening, firewall fine-tuning, and the replacement of legacy switches across multiple international offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Become the "go to" Network Professional across the team and wide company
• Ensure system uptime through daily checks, manage second/third-line incidents, and handle monthly on-call duties (paid separately).
• Update and create network designs, manage network segmentation, and optimize FortiGate firewall configurations.
• Lead server/switch installations, support network migrations, and facilitate office relocations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with Networking
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration (2016-2022), server installation, and data centre operations.
• Proficiency with Layer 2/3 switching, particularly with Aruba or Cisco technologies.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

• 13th Month Scheme
• Zoetermeer - Hybrid, 2 days on site including Wednesday (full team)

As a key player in the team, you’ll contribute to both the design and operational aspects of our network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with Aruba and Cisco switches, as well as a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
