Senior Data Architect

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to provide leadership and architectural advisory for QF data initiatives. This role involves planning, resource allocation, and oversight of multiple projects, ensuring the efficient design of the current and future data environment. The ideal candidate will leverage the latest technology and information management methodologies to optimize logical data modeling, metadata management, and data warehouse solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in cloud data systems for proposals and business development efforts.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to proposal strategies.
• Consult with clients to assess current data challenges, define desired outcomes, and recommend solutions.
• Design logical and physical architecture roadmaps to align services with business processes.
• Define data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, covering metadata, security, reference data, and master data (e.g., clients, vendors, materials, employees).
• Establish reference architecture for standardized data system development.
• Define data flows across the organization to optimize data generation, management, and transformation.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including departments, partners, and vendors.
• Evaluate information sources for reliability and usability.
• Apply statistical and data mining techniques to identify patterns and relationships.
• Develop reports and insights for management and business units.
• Design relational databases to support enterprise applications.
• Develop strategies for metadata management, operational data stores, and ETL environments.
• Create and test physical data models to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Support database administrators, network designers, and IT teams in securing data backup and recovery methods.
• Evaluate existing data architectures and propose improvements.
• Research emerging technologies and methodologies for potential implementation.
• Develop machine learning, text extraction, and image processing algorithms.
• Manage ETL processes for integrating disparate data sources.
• Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective database designs.
• Apply predictive analytics using advanced statistical techniques.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in solutions that process and analyze large volumes of business-critical data.
• 3+ years of experience in developing multidimensional and tabular models with complex datasets.
• 4+ years of BI development experience using Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in Excel, Power BI, SSIS, PowerShell scripting.
• Experience in cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Knowledge of ETL, data integration, and migration strategies.
• Experience in Azure Data Analytics solutions design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling and data architecture.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in data quality systems and process design.
• Strong documentation skills for data models, configurations, and setups.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

• TOGAF 9.2 or 10 Certified (mandatory)
