Mobile and Digital Applications SRE Application System Engineer

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or system administration.
• Proficiency in managing web servers (IIS, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache) and infrastructure systems.
• Experience with container management platforms, such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Skilled in managing GCP and Azure cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux (RHEL) operating systems, as well as scripting.
• Experienced with logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with APM tools such as AppResponse, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.
• Understanding of Microservice Design Patterns and principles; experience in microservice transformation is a plus.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, able to remain calm during incidents and collaborate effectively.
• Previous experience in high-demand production environments and knowledge of disaster recovery practices.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to research new technologies to enhance both team and personal skills.

What You'll Do

• Manage both monolithic and microservice applications.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analyses, and contribute to post-incident reviews and action plans.
• Develop and implement automation strategies to reduce manual interventions, especially for scaling, monitoring, and alerting.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions for early detection and fast recovery from production issues.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance application performance, deployment, and overall reliability.
• Follow up on requests from internal/external audits and inspections, ensuring necessary actions are taken.
• Be available 24/7 to support the continuity of applications.
• Integrate newly acquired hardware and software into the infrastructure, ensuring successful deployment.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve system reliability, availability, and performance across environments.
• Execute operational processes and meet internal requirements within areas of responsibility.
• Document systems, operational procedures, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
