AI Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced AI Platform Engineer to join our client’s AI & Automation Team and participate in digital transformation across the organization.

Our client’s cross-functional team consists of experts in the fields of data engineering, data science, machine learning engineering and cloud engineering. The team owns company’s technology platforms for AI, Data Science and Decision Intelligence. Based on these inhouse technology platform they implement AI solutions for all parts of the organization.

Tech-stack:

Infrastructure

• Microsoft Azure: Machine Learning Workspaces, Data Factory, Container Registry, Data Lake Gen2, Functions, App Services, Event Hub/ Grid, IaC with Terraform
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

Applications and ML pipelines

• Python, MLflow, Docker

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You are part of the AI platform product team and contribute to the further development of the AI technology platforms:
• Discuss new platform features with Product Owner
• Implement new platform features with other platform engineers and Machine Learning Engineers
• Participate in joint review sessions with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers
• You operate AI platform:
• Further develop existing platform observability functionality
• Provision infrastructure for new AI projects and upgrade running platform instances
• Ensure operational stability of our platforms
• You collaborate with our core infrastructure department on articulating our requirements regarding basic cloud services, their latest offerings, networking and best practices with regards to cloud engineering
• You interact with our Cybersecurity team to ensure continuous compliance with their policies Via implementation of tests, code reviews and pair-programming with fellow engineers you ensure high quality of our code, documentation and compliance with our best practices

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Computer Science or in a related field
• 3+ years of work experience in cloud engineering with Azure or AWS or GCP
• Work experience with Terraform, optionally: Ansible
• Extensive experience with implementing and operating cloud platforms, ideally in the context of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
• Optional: Basic knowledge of Machine Learning and Python
• Written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a self-organizing environment and eagerness to continuously learn
