Radio Access Network Engineer

Role: RAN Engineer

Location: Linkoping, Sweden(hybrid)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Main external interface for team
• Alignment on the priority together with Backlog OPO
• Ensure the team works to maximize flow (WIP limit, size of builds, support tickets)
• Contribute to help the team keep a balance between support and supply
• Ensure quality assurance is done for all deliveries
• Regular retrospectives are held and improvements are done
• Ensure impediments are handled, solved within team or lifted to OPO
• Ensure the agreed Ways of Working is known by all team members
• Act as primary interface as well as end to end responsible for incoming requests prioritized by the OPO
• Analyze the requirements presented by development/testing organization and secure right hardware, build space in test environment and right solution
• Prepare the scope of the delivery and get it agreed with the stakeholders
• Facilitate stakeholder with the budget estimations and availability
• Visualize progress of the requests and check for improvements
• Facilitate timely feedback to the stakeholder on progress of the request made
• Facilitate removal of impediments faced by team to ensure team delivers on commitments
• Identify and drive improvement activities across the flow
• Enable Support delivery flow to make sure Test Environment stays available aptly for the user
• Collaborate within TEE community to maximize flow
• Need to accelerate RAN SW feature parity from purpose-built baseband with Cloud RAN solution.
• There will be a lot of SW work to re-design, re-package, integrate and test to assure quality of the SW features on Cloud RAN

Required Skills & Assignment:

• 4G/5G RAN Configuration/Testing
• To help our customer to increase cloud Infrastructure capability significantly to support this goal
• This assignment is to build new TCs(Test Channels) including integration with VDU and VCU and to handle TRs, lab operations and rebuilds for existing TCs while maintaining stable and well running test environment.

Desired Skills:

Linux , Cloud Computing/Engineering , DevOps in Telecom Domain.
