Overview of Role

A Public sector client has a requirement for a Jira Developer / Technical expert for a 2 year contraxct role.

You will be working on a project to implement JIRA system upgrades and migration of portfolio of projects to a new instance/version of JIRA whilst ensuring no disruption to ongoing operations & reporting.

Key tasks

* Configuration, maintenance, and administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Desk)
* Migrating projects to new environments, performing sanity checks and ensuring smooth transition of contents while ensuring live system availability throughout
* Planning the migration to the new instance/version of JIRA for the portfolio, lift and shift
* Clean up of legacy boards/structures, user maintenance and moving projects to the consistent board
* Configuration of test sandboxes and importing live data effectively
* Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlassian add-ons (Eazy Bi, Risk Register, Zephyr Scale) to meet team and business needs including importing and exporting data between servers.
* Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and briefing the team/s on new functionalities.
* Research and implement new approaches on Jira usage.
* Prompt issue resolution with JIRA Projects in coordination with other admins, business areas and Atlassian premier support

Experience required

* 3+ years of experience in administering Jira or similar platforms and technologies.
* Competent in writing SQL
* Atlassian certifications in Jira and Confluence Data Center.
