About the role: Cloud DevOps Engineer

A Cloud DevOps Engineer introduces and integrates processes, tools, and methodologies to balance software development needs from coding, testing, and deployment through to ongoing maintenance and updates. In this role, you will also focus on delivering and operating solutions in the cloud (public, private, or hybrid), with particular emphasis on Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality, and maintaining a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

1. DevOps Standards & Governance:

• Design and implement DevOps standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.

• Ensure adherence to these standards through governance activities and performance measurement.

2. CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Design, develop, and maintain standard CI/CD pipelines for various software development platforms.

• Continuously monitor and maintain pipelines for efficient and consistent delivery of software.

• Implement code quality metrics, unit testing frameworks, and static code analysis tools.

3. Cloud Infrastructure & Operations:

• Design, install, administer, and troubleshoot applications and services running on public cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

• Manage operating systems (Linux and Windows) and related infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Integrate hybrid cloud solutions, including private and public cloud resources, to meet business needs.

4. Monitoring, Maintenance & Support:

• Perform 24/7 Level 2 operations and proactive monitoring for corresponding products and services.

• Work with software development teams to ensure efficient development and deployment processes.

• Manage change management, incident response, and problem resolution processes.

• Conduct after-hours support for emergencies and planned maintenance.

5. Analysis & Reporting:

• Measure and report the performance of continuous delivery processes and cloud-based services.

• Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and operational activities.

• Conduct requirements analysis, prepare technical specifications, and perform proofs-of-concept and tests.

Requirements

1. Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or similar roles.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in public, private, or hybrid cloud operations.

2. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Git usage, branching practices, and related tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and SonarQube.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline design, development, and maintenance.

• Experience in Linux and Windows environments, with strong scripting capabilities in Python and Bash.

• Familiarity with modern software development languages (Java, Typescript) and build tools (Maven or Gradle, NPM).

• Experience working with containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.

• Knowledge of servers and application platforms (OpenShift, WebLogic, IIS, Apache) is a plus.

• Basic understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), caching (Redis), and message brokers (Kafka) is preferred.

3. Cloud & Certificates:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and architecture is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP is a plus.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.

4. Monitoring & Analysis Tools:

• Experience with monitoring and log analytics solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic Stack) is a plus.

• Capacity planning, troubleshooting, and SLA/OLA management experience are beneficial.

5. Soft Skills

• Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.

• Strong analytical thinking, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Open to continuous learning, self-development, and taking initiative.
