Project Manager

For one of our key clients in Belgium we are seeking several Project Managers on lucrative long term consultancy contracts.

Accommodation, mob and demob expenses covered. 8 weeks on 4 weeks off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Preparation:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare technical specifications and detailed work scopes for ship repair projects.

Project Execution:

• Oversee the implementation of ship repair projects across multiple shipyard locations.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, addressing challenges proactively to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with project plans and standards.

Communication & Reporting:

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing project updates.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting project status and key developments.
• Resolve issues and challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in ship repair or a related industry.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel to shipyard locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent).
• Experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and ship repair standards.
