Senior Project Engineer – Offshore Export Cables - Belgium - 16 month contract - August start

I'm currently supporting a major offshore transmission project in Belgium seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its offshore cable package team.

The project involves the delivery of multiple 220kV HVAC export cable systems, offshore substations and associated transmission infrastructure supporting the integration of new offshore wind generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the engineering and execution of offshore HVAC cable installation activities
• Review contractor documentation and provide technical comments
• Manage interfaces with contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Support offshore installation and construction activities
• Monitor progress, technical deliverables and project risks

Experience Required:

• 8+ years' experience within the offshore cable industry
• Offshore cable lay and burial
• Landfall and cable pull-ins
• PLGR, boulder clearance and route preparation works
• Offshore construction, vessel and ROV operations
• Cable installation analysis and weather planning
• Survey techniques, GIS software and route engineering
• Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Contract Details:

• August start
• 16 month contract
• Belgium
• Hybrid working (2–3 days per week office/site attendance)
• Fluent English required
• Dutch and French beneficial
