Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer (Hardware) – French & English

We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer (Hardware) to work on leading-edge technology products.


Location: Montreal, Quebec

Schedule: HYBRID (2 days in office)


Project Description

As part of the project team working on innovative solutions, he/she will be responsible for providing independent assurance that internal and external requirements (including governmental, industrial, and contractual) applicable to development are met.

In this role, he/she will also be responsible for "Quality and Customer Satisfaction" activities, in addition to these main responsibilities.


Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the technical manager and project team to meet timelines and expected quality levels.
  • Ensure that the developed products are the result of appropriate, rigorous, and structured processes.
  • Conduct evaluations and checks on technical development activities to assess compliance with applicable regulatory, industrial, and corporate standards.
  • Review technical documentation for quality and compliance requirements.
  • Produce and maintain objective evidence of evaluation activities for client and regulatory review.
  • Understand and apply aeronautical standards, including but not limited to: RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-178C, RTCA/DO-297, and SAE ARP4754A.
  • Provide regular and comprehensive progress reports and data to management.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained, data is collected, and reports are submitted to the company.
  • Evaluate, develop, and publish quality measures and verification results to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Interact with regulatory authorities, client representatives, and suppliers, providing support as needed during project implementation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions using appropriate procedures.


Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a college diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in development and/or quality in engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, complex electronic product development, quality assurance/compliance, or processes.
  • Experience or knowledge of aerospace engineering and development standards (particularly DO-254 compliance).
  • Bilingual – French and English
