About This Role:

Role Summary/Key Objectives

We currently have a need for a Network Management Centre engineer supporting the outsourced network for a large Financial Services Company. This role is part of a team responsible for the continuous operation and performance of the enterprise Network infrastructure including Head Office and Branch locations across multiple geographies built on Cisco LAN / MAN / WAN / Wi-Fi technologies . This position will require high quality service delivery through responsiveness to network incidents, crisis management; Business initiated change, adherence to service levels and improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 year of relevant work experience; Global Financial Services experience is preferred.

Expectations From The Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Support customers requirements and lead team to offer 99.99% continuous service
  • Maintain and support the network infrastructure compromised of LAN/ MAN / WAN and Wi-Fi solutions
  • Monitor and manage network using the following tools - Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, ISE, DNAC, Tufin and Stealthwatch.
  • Provision / maintain DHCP, DNS, Content Switching and Firewalling services
  • Troubleshoot any network related issues and perform root cause analysis. Collaborate with other team supporting Voice, Contact Centre and Internet services
  • Maintain documentation on the network environment and update operational procedures.
  • Following extensive training and support, join the “ out of hours on-call” support rota.

Requirements For A Successful Application:

Personal Competencies / Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a Network Management Centre supporting a large enterprise network environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco Routing and Switching . LAN (Nexus, ACI) / WAN and Wi-Fi /. Support for other services including DNS ,DHCP, NAC and Content Switching.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies – Checkpoint, Cisco ASA & Firepower solutions, Citrix Netscaler, Juniper and F5 Content Switches.
  • Experience with IT Service Management such as Change, Incident and Problem Management. ITIL Certification a plus
  • Well versed in crisis management, root cause analysis and operational readiness techniques.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Strong customer service orientation is a must.
  • Good team player, willing to share knowledge with the team
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Good time management, organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented setting
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours, on call support activities.
