Freelance PHP Developer

For one of Kando's clients, we are looking for an experienced PHP Developer who is available on a freelance basis for an 8-month contract.

It will require the successful candidate to travel to the customer's office in Arnhem for 1-day per week.

Specifically, we are looking for an independently-minded, problem-solver who is happy digging into an existing codebase.

This project is on behalf of a telecoms client, and will require you to modify their existing APIs.

This will mean reverse engineering the existing integrations, locating the API connections, modifying the code and creating Unit Tests to prevent regressions.

Essential skills:

• Strong experience with PHP (v.8.3), including architectural knowledge
• MySQL, MsSQL
• Familiar with CI/CD

Bonus skills:

• Experience with NATS would be a big advantage

This role is not suitable for someone who wants write greenfield code and work with perfect documentation.

However, I have other people on this project, and I know that this is a great team, and the work is very intellectually stimulating.
