Middle Data Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Middle Data Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Our mission is centered around providing cutting-edge software solutions to support biomedical research. As a Middle Data Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in backend implementation and system integration, ensuring optimized and customized applications enhance the speed and efficiency of drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend solutions to support scientific workflows
• Integrate system components with solutions provided by other team members
• Contribute to the development of DAGs using Apache Airflow for efficient workflow management
• Manage concurrent tasks and optimize performance at scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive development
• Maintain and improve existing software platforms to meet evolving research needs
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are upheld
• Assist in the future transition to AWS technologies, particularly non-SQL high-performance stores
• Monitor and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Data Software Engineering
• Proficiency in Python for workflow management systems
• Expertise in Apache Airflow for DAG development
• Competency in handling concurrent tasks in high-volume environments
• Familiarity with backend technologies and system integration
• Capability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Background in software development for biomedical research or related fields
• Understanding of non-SQL high-performance data stores, particularly in an AWS context
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
