Internship in Data Analytics & Visualization (limited 6-9 months, 70-100%, all genders)

Our Data Insights & Analytics Team drives the analytics and digitalization processes that are essential to the Protection Management framework of SWISS. In this internship, you will play a key role in developing and improving data analytics products that are vital to managing aviation risks, including safety, security, and compliance.

Tasks

Support risk-related decision-making across all operational domains of SWISS by leveraging your data visualization and communication skills. You will transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and help manage our data analytics product portfolio.

• Develop and enhance dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, creating intuitive and insightful visualizations.
• Modify and maintain data pipelines on platforms like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data science and automation solutions.
• Present data products and findings effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the research and development of safety and risk management concepts using data analytics.

Requirements

• Master’s student or graduate with focus on analytics (computer science, mathematics, data science, etc…)
• Experience in programming with proficiency in at least one language (e.g. SQL, Python …)
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (preferably Tableau or PowerBI)
• Strong interest in data communication and storytelling
• Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
• Excellent spoken and written English skills
