About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Manager Innovation Enablement to lead the innovation agenda at MATAR, with a focus on digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate emerging technology trends; establish their applicability to MATAR; study early adoption use-cases in the aviation industry and lead cross-functional ideation and incubation of such technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify ground breaking initiatives.
• Facilitate a cross functional group called MATAR Innovation Hub (M-Hub) to prioritize innovation portfolio on an ongoing basis.
• Cultivate and manage an open innovation eco-system of strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and industry experts, within an effective framework.
• Launch innovation calls to the market on key business challenges and evaluate proposals.
• Maintain a visionary mindset, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to organizational change.
• Collaborate with external partners to leverage expertise, explore joint ventures, and stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Design and execute “Proof of Value” pilot programs and incubate solutions for testing and validating new technologies.
• Evaluate the feasibility, scalability, and impact of innovative solutions.
• Develop and manage the technology innovation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
• Drive initiatives that further improve the innovation agility, impact and culture at MATAR.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematic or related disciplines
• At least 5-6 years as a senior resource managing a team of IT resources
• Proven experience in driving corporate technology innovation.
• In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, Web3.0, robotics and data analytics.
• Strong project management skills with a successful track record of implementing transformative technology solutions.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in technology.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and delivery, agile methodologies, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with cloud-based services and technologies.
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
