We have partnered up with a leading Australian fintech, seen as a top brand with global ambitions to recruit an experienced Application Security Manager to lead and enhance their application security program, working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This role will involve working closely with senior leadership to set strategic security goals, integrating security principles into the CI/CD pipeline, and providing guidance to development teams on security best practices. About the role:

• Lead and manage the application security function and team.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Development Leaders to develop security strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Integrate shift-left security principles into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Provide guidance to development teams on application security topics.
• Develop and enforce application security standards and ensure compliance.
• Conduct security assessments of self-developed products and workflows.

About you:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in application security or a similar role.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with IT and development teams.
• Proven experience implementing application security processes and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, security testing, and application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST).
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST) and relevant certifications (e.g., CSSLP, CISSP) is a plus.
