Test Engineer

afarax is looking for a freelance Tribe Test Engineer. We need you!

The project:

Our client in the banking sector is looking for a Tribe Test Engineer to join their team.

Tasks:

Support the delivery of the features under your responsibility

• Define the Feature Test plans together with the involved squads
• Take the responsibility of the End-to-End test process, coordinating testing stakeholders inside and outside our tribe
• Communicate on the quality, progress and impediments during the delivery lifecyle
• Partner with the (Cluster) Scrum Masters to ensure an up to date delivery plan

Assist the squads in organising their test activities

• Align with the squads to define their test strategy, automation strategy and test coverage requirements
• Ensure squads allocate the necessary capacity and time to perform the planned tests

Coaching and continuous improvement on test activities

• Accompany the squads in improving their quality practices. Improve the feature test plans based on the relevant quality criteria and risk management, including to be applied methodology, tooling, …
• Coach the stakeholders in gaining an increased test maturity
• In the mindset of continuous improvement, Introduce best practices and new approaches in the squads (test automation, regression tests, tdd/bdd, …)
• Within the Tribe Test Engineer Community, foster a climate of continuous improvement, look for opportunities and share best practices enabling the tribe to grow in the Quality Assurance aspects to always deliver faster with higher quality

Is this you?

• Fluent in English
• Dutch and/or French are optional
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in complex delivery organisations
• Knowledge of test techniques, types of test, different test levels, the principles of functional and non-functional testing
• Knowledge of structured & risk based testing
• Knowledge of software development methods and life cycle management
• Knowledge of functional architecture, application architecture and infrastructure architecture
• Knowledge of test and automation tools such as QC, Cucumber, Soap, service virtualisation, ...
• Determine estimates and workload
• Advanced Coaching skills
• Strong teamplayer and networker
• Pro-active and result oriented
• Eye for both detail and the global picture
• Excellent communication skills
