We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Project Coordinator to join a unionized team in the Niagara Falls area. In this permanent, full-time opportunity, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress, assess potential risks, coordinating meetings, as well as identifying, allocating, and coordinating internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, project objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements

- Coordinate and chair project team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration

- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise

- Lead project teams during the lifecycle stages from discovery to closeout

- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project and portfolio statuses and addressing concerns

- Build and maintain an effective partnership with partners and external stakeholders. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and cooperation to execute projects successfully

- Identify, allocate, and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget

- Proactively address and resolve resource constraints to maintain project milestones and overall timelines

- Assess potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact, and proactively address challenges that may affect project delivery

- Conduct regular process reviews to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and implement improvements that streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and align with organizational goals

- Manage change by ensuring that the project objectives address the intended results and outcomes

- Manage and prioritize multiple projects within a portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficient allocation of resources

- Develop and implement a consistent and standardized Project Management process and methodology. Evaluate and improve based on user feedback and industry best practices as required

- Research, review, select and maintain Enterprise Project Management software tools for use by business units and employees

- Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline

- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is mandatory

- At least 5 years of relevant work experience including a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, or an equivalent combination of practical and relevant education and experience

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Ability to facilitate change, influence others, and drive the adoption of new processes and practices

- Proficient in using project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

- Clear criminal background check
