MEP Project Manager


We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring MEP systems are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage MEP systems from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Oversee contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall construction milestones.
  • Ensure all MEP installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with design teams to review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance procedures, safety protocols, and risk management strategies.
  • Conduct site inspections and progress reviews, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Manage procurement of MEP-related materials and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive commissioning and testing processes, ensuring all systems operate effectively before project handover.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP design, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including local building regulations and international best practices.
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, and procurement teams to optimize project delivery.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software, and reporting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities or highly technical environments.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and energy efficiency principles in MEP systems.
