Melbourne Based Hybrid Model

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You’ll work with modern development tools and frameworks to create seamless user experiences while ensuring performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Implement and optimise SQLite databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to enhance app functionality.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Android SDK, Jetpack, and MVVM architecture.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with SQLite, Room Database, and local data storage.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Retrofit, and JSON parsing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, unit testing, and Git version control.
• Understanding of Material Design principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of Firebase, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
