Job Description:

We currently have a vacancy for an API Integration Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated into the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Design, plan, and implement integration strategies and patterns in a JEE/HTTP-secured ecosystem;
• Apply best practices of distributed architecture to solve complex integration problems between information systems;
• Design, implement and document APIs to be exposed securely on a public-facing API Gateway;
• Design, plan, implement, and deploy workflows: business process definition and task definition (service or user tasks) relying on APIs and business events;
• Work in a container-based infrastructure.

Requirements:

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 15 years of specific expertise in back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate;
• Minimum 15 years of specific expertise in database technology (relational and NoSQL DB);
• Minimum 10 years of specific expertise in API Integration;
• Minimum 8 years of specific expertise in API management solutions and authentication and authorization management (auth provider);
• Minimum 7 years of specific expertise in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes;
• Minimum 6 years of specific expertise with reactive programming (Spring Web Flux), defining cloud architecture on multiple providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and with Graph QL ;
• Excellent knowledge of HTTP and API design;
• Excellent knowledge of JEE and REST or SOAP APIs;
• Excellent knowledge of at least one BPMN workflow engine;
• Excellent knowledge of asynchronous communication and publish/subscribe techniques and technologies: Apache, Kafka, JMS;
• Good knowledge in Web security, Auth2.0, OpenID Connect and GRPC, and Protobuf format ;
• Good knowledge of distributed or microservice architectures and complex event processing;
• At least one of the following certificates are required:
• Oracle Certified Expert, Java Web Services Developer or Oracle Java Certified Expert Java Web component developer or Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
