Within the Global BI organization and under its governance, the MSC Technology Italy - BI Business Analyst mission is to work within the Business Intelligence Team to provide analysis, develop and maintain reports for the BI tools.
The position requires analytical skills with a strong technical background.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the understanding of business needs and be able to translate business need into technical solutions.
- Provide guidance to the developer during all phase of the development, to ensure that the delivery is aligned with the business requirements.
- Develop and maintain Business Intelligence Dashboards (Power BI)
- Perform and document data analysis, data testing, ad-hoc reports and POC validation using SQL on MS SQL servers.
- Follow directions and priorities given by the BI Functional Manager in Geneva.
- Follow the HQ BI Framework.
- Report any project/product issue to the BI Functional Manager in Geneva.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate at the standardization and industrialization of the BI processes.
- Carry on developments using the Agile methodology.
- Complete ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company.
- Project Management.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Excellent data analysis skills using SQL (at least 5 years of experience), DAX, Power BI
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organization skills
- Comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent business requirement writing and minute taking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good time management
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
Preferred:
- SSAS modelling and BI Architecture
- Experience with SAP data
