Day to day:

Insight Global is looking for a project manager to join one of our retail clients in their new brand group. Your day to day would involve supporting the packaging team with their creative endeavors by establishing and managing expectations with schedules while building processes along the way. This individual will have experience working in an environment with creative and innovative minds. You will be building a process along the way and helping the team stick to this process in order to achieve their goals.


Responsibilities include:

Project Management

* Attend Product priority meetings to advise and align on studio timelines upstream.

* Lead, manage, and advise on resources for studio projects from Kickoff through finalization of Packaging Design to printer.

* Manage prioritization of project workflow on a day-to-day and project oversight basis.

* Facilitate and advise priorities to all studio teams daily, weekly and monthly.

* Maintain and communicate updates to SOPs as they relate to the Packaging Design process.

* Manage, track and communicate project plan progression as it relates to packaging design in partnership with Product Managers.

* Ensure team members are held accountable for workflow outputs and communicate concerns where necessary to stakeholders.

* Real time process and timing decision making on behalf of the project team to align to project commitments.

* Negotiation of daily priorities within workstreams to help ensure momentum of project workflow.

* Identifying resourcing constraints and making decisions to help optimize current or new resources.

Cross functional team partnership and relationship building and sustainment

* Ownership of communication to all cross functional teams to ensure timeliness and delivery of studio project milestones.

* Primary point of contact for projects as a SME, resource and knowledge expert.

* Manage the Kickoff meeting in partnership with the Product Managers.

* Manage conflicting timelines and priorities between internal teams. Escalate as required.

* Attend meetings and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on business requirements (could include attendance at meetings, townhalls, etc)

* If the customer is internal, this role is the primary point of contact for project status and management as it relates to workflow and resourcing between the studio and Product teams.

Analysis, Reporting, and Budgeting


Must-haves

* 3-5 years of related work experience required.

* 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.

* College degree or higher

* Project Management Certification an asset

* Experience managing complex projects within a dynamic process.

* Indirect people leadership through project management a must.

* Passion for project governance, performance results, and solution-based thinking is required.

* Strong background in building relationships and team.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting purposes is an asset.
