DevOps Engineer

Location: Full Remote (occasional travel to Luxembourg)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Kafka clusters in high-availability environments.
• Optimize Kafka performance (configurations, partitions, replication).
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Implement monitoring with tools like Dynatrace and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure secure data transmission and access control (SSL/TLS, Kerberos).
• Integrate Kafka with CI/CD pipelines for automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to support Kafka-based apps.
• Provide training and technical support; document procedures.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or Kafka administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, Terraform, Ansible.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Kafka Connect, KSQL, Zookeeper.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• ITIL certification is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Confluent Kafka, Flink, or Kafka Streams.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Kafka, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications.
