The Role

At Montonio, we believe in true end-to-end ownership. As a software engineer, you'll dive into the world of e-commerce payments, checkout experiences, and shipping solutions with the autonomy to drive projects from conception to completion. You'll work directly with product managers, designers, and other engineers to shape ideas, architect solutions, and ensure their success post-launch.

What You Will Do

• Own features end-to-end: from planning and technical design through development and deployment to post-launch monitoring.
• Work with your team to generate impactful ideas and proposals for features and product enhancements.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure we’re building the right thing the right way.
• Contribute to improving our engineering practices and culture, shaping Montonio’s future.
• Explore and learn new technologies that help us build better products for our merchants.
  
  

Our Expectations For You

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• You care about how and why users interact with the product.
• You’re a skilled communicator – you’re proficient in written and spoken English and are able to work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• You work great individually, but even better with a team that you can depend on and learn from.
• You have a track record of taking ideas to execution – from conception to deployment to post-launch support.
• You enjoy writing testable, easy-to-extend, high-quality code.

Technical Specifics

We believe passionate engineers can thrive in any environment, no matter the language or framework. Hence, there’s no need to be already familiar with all of our tech 😁. Here are some of the technologies you can expect to work with at Montonio:

• Node.js and TypeScript on the back-end (NestJS framework).
• Angular on the front-end.
• Our database of choice is PostgreSQL.
• We run our code in Docker containers and make heavy use of the AWS infrastructure.
