Senior Java Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java 17 and Spring Boot, with a strong background in unit and integration testing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems, ensuring smooth functionality, and integrating best practices for software development and deployment.

You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a team of talented engineers, collaborating closely to build efficient and maintainable software solutions. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code while following best coding practices.
• Ensure code reliability by implementing comprehensive unit testing (strict requirement) and integration testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Architect scalable and maintainable systems, ensuring high performance and security.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Debug production issues, optimize system performance, and continuously improve software reliability.
• Maintain proper documentation and participate in code reviews.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java 17 & Spring Boot – Strong experience in developing and optimizing backend services.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing – Writing test cases using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks is a strict requirement.
• Solid understanding of system architecture – Experience designing and building scalable systems.
• CI/CD experience – Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Contract Testing, Monitoring & Logging – Experience with contract testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and logging mechanisms (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Production Debugging – Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Product Ownership – Experience leading or owning a product or significant components of a product.
• Frontend Exposure – Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Node.js, HTML, JavaScript, React, etc., is a plus.
