Inviting applications for the role of AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote (Canada)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance, including the management of AWS Organizations to streamline account management and governance.
- Implement cost optimization strategies across cloud resources, leveraging AWS tools and services to analyze and reduce costs effectively.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to: Networking, IAM, Control Tower, Account/Cost Management
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CDK, Terraform
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C# or Java.
- Experience in building simple, repeatable, and secure solutions and processes.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications, such as Practitioner, Developer, Administrator, Networking
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
