Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. This role will be responsible for the technical execution and architectural leadership within our Web Experience domains. You will be tasked with designing and implementing scalable, performant web applications, ensuring that we adhere to the highest technical standards while also leveraging the best development practices. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, product managers, and designers, you will play a key role in shaping the technical vision and driving innovation. You will ensure that all features are developed sustainably, maintaining a high level of quality and reliability. Additionally, you’ll mentor junior developers and collaborate with Engineering Managers to assess team performance and guide hiring initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate within your product teams to develop sustainable, performant, and well-designed products that meet RB Global’s technical standards

Take charge of the technical direction, working with teams to meet business and technical goals

Drive the adoption of design patterns, frameworks, and coding standards to enhance team productivity and code quality

Publish and enforce new technical standards across the organization to ensure consistency and efficiency

Foster skill development within your team by partnering with Engineering Enablement and ensuring that the team has the tools and knowledge needed to achieve their mission

Identify and solve complex technical challenges related to scalability, performance, and system integration

Lead by example in promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Minimum of 4 years of enterprise web development experience, with at least 3 years focused on scalable, high-performance solutions

Proven ability to define and execute architectural strategies and guide development teams

Strong expertise in Kubernetes and containerized deployment solutions

In-depth experience with CI/CD pipelines and driving automated solutions for deployment

Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus

Strong experience in software architecture and web application development

Knowledge of enterprise technology stacks and the ability to apply solutions to business problems

Hands-on experience with web product development using best practices for performance and scalability

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in remote team environments
