Product Owner, Wirepas NMS

WIREPAS NMS PRODUCT OWNER

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Product Owner to guide the development of our Wirepas NMS (Network Management System) Product. Wirepas NMS is a backend product targeted in supporting Wirepas Mesh network management and analytics.

Wirepas NMS consists of microservices implementing Wirepas Mesh network management and analytics related logic as well as of a Web UI providing dashboards and management views for the end users. Wirepas NMS can be deployed to Kubernetes cluster or on a server-based platform depending on the scalability and fault tolerance related requirements.

In Wirepas software development, the Product Owner is the project’s key driver and also defines content and delivery. You will be working with a team of 10-15 people. In your role, you will be developing and maintaining a release plan for the full product and are responsible for that plan to all the stakeholders in the company. The Product Owner works to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. You also understand both the SW engineering and customer side of the product releases.

The position is in Tampere, Finland.

About you

You have an enthusiasm for driving and defining software products. You are a self-starter who can manage time effectively. You also have good analytical mind and advanced problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to give the best customer experience. You communicate fluently in English as it’s the working language at Wirepas.

You like working with teams and should see opportunities where other people see challenges. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects at once.

As a Product Owner, your responsibilities include:

• Product requirement management i.e. ensuring that team is delivering desired high value outputs
• Creating a Wirepas NMS release plan, managing schedule and keeping all the stakeholders informed.
• Leading and directing collaborative efforts of release i.e. conducting and influencing actively development, management, testing along with operations on release and development processes.
• Managing risks that may affect release content and/or schedule.
• Reporting on the performance of the process and on opportunities for improvement

For this role, we’re hoping you’ll wizard these:

• Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen, customer-oriented
• Established background in managing releasing of cloud/back-end software or services together with software engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in documentation, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
• Technical understanding of the modern cloud platforms and services
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Creative thinker with a vision, while maintaining attention to detail
• Good spoken and written English as English is our company language
• Minimum of 4 years of product development and/or project management experience

Experience of wireless communication products is considered as an advantage.
