afarax is looking for a freelance Machine Learning Engineer. We need you!

The project:

Our client in the banking sector is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team.

Tasks:

• Manage the execution and quality assurance of the monthly production run from data preparation, scoring and validation of different AI models and analytical indicators. Improve the automation of this process to make it more efficient
• Maintain and improve the existing python programs for collecting and validating data from different sources, for building, scoring, and performance monitoring of AI models of the team (e.g. python version upgrades)
• Interface between data scientists and IT to support the usage of the Domino Data Science Platform, the AI building blocks and the evolution of the python environment.
• Assist data scientist by helping them identify and install the correct dependencies in their environment, best practices for code quality, continuous improvement and automation
• Support the creation of new variables (data engineering), automatic refit of the data science models
• Explore new ways of combining the available tools of the bank (AI building blocks from Tribe AI) to unlock new capabilities for building AI products and supporting the data scientists.
• Work with a team of motivated data scientists who are eager to learn, collaborate and share expertise

Is this you?

• You have a fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Fluent/Good level of Dutch (French is a plus)
• You have a degree in a quantitative field (e.g Master in computer sciences)
• Strong expertise in software development in Python and Python data science packages (pandas, sklearn)
• Git

• Domino Data Science Platform

• Software testing
• Experience in containerization (docker)
• Experience in Cloud environments
