Role Overview:
The client is looking for a senior backend developer with strong experience in Python and API development to join our engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services
- Built integration with LLMs using cloud services and Lambdas
- Create and optimize RESTful APIs
- Work with relational and non-relational databases
- Implement best practices in security and data handling
- Collaborate with frontend and design teams to integrate services
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
- This opportunity is a long-term contract with Workana
- The compensation is paid in USD on a monthly schedule
- The process is the following: Technical Assessment and Interview with Workana, Technical and Cultural interview with the client
- Mandatory
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Dart
- Proficiency with web frameworks such as Django or Flask, Flutter and/or FlutterFlow
- Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Experience integrating with LLMs
- Familiarity with microservices architectures and containers (Docker)
- Strong knowledge in SQL
- Good experience with Lambda functions
- Fluency in Spanish (English optional)
- Desired
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of CI/CD and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (JavaScript, React)
- Experience with automated testing and TDD
