About the Role

A global leader in financial services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage multiple strategic initiatives, with a focus on overseeing key internal systems and driving the success of numerous projects across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards. The role is initially a 14-month contract, with a strong expectation to transition to a permanent position within the calendar year - context can be provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and delivery of multiple projects, from initiation through to post-implementation review. Develop detailed project plans, ensuring all scope, timelines, resources, and risks are identified.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, including regular updates and status reporting tailored to various audiences.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Track project timelines, identify challenges, and develop contingency plans where necessary. Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Manage resources effectively, ensuring the efficient utilisation of staff across the team and fostering a culture of continuous development through coaching and training.


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, preferably within financial services, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong experience in creating detailed project plans, managing risks, and providing status reporting to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across operational, technical, and leadership levels.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams, with a focus on coaching and developing staff.
  • A strategic mindset with a problem-solving approach and the ability to take initiative in ambiguous environments.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince II, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fund administration and financial services is a plus.
