System Engineer Hybrid Infrastructure (Backup)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operate and maintain the backup environment utilizing Commvault and Veeam, ensuring regular backups, restore tests, and adherence to data retention policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures and performance issues, implementing improvements, as necessary
• Implementation of backup and recovery measures to protect critical data
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to backup solutions and other infrastructure technologies (e.g. virtualization, storage)
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability of processes
• Maintain accurate documentation of backup procedures, configurations, and infrastructure setups
• Generate reports on backup status, performance metrics, and capacity planning
• Monitoring and analysis of system performance to identify optimization potential

Come prepared

We expect you have:

• Proven experience in managing backup solutions, specifically Commvault and Veeam. Ideally Certifications related backup technologies (e.g., Commvault Certified Professional or Veeam Certified Engineer)
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and infrastructure management
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Linux systems and vSphere
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Knowledge of networking concepts and storage solutions
• Never satisfied with the status quo, always eager to learn
• Strong collaboration mindset and commitment to your team
• Self-organized and solution-oriented work in internationally distributed teams and good communication skills
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
