The Everyday Products crew manages the core transaction account portfolio end-to-end, including P&L, supplier management, change delivery, proactive risk management, and optimising customer and business outcomes. This role reports to the Crew Lead, Everyday Products.
As the Product Owner (at Senior Manager level), you will collaborate with other value-chain, product and technical squads and business stakeholders to define and implement the short and long-term priorities that will ensure we achieve our strategic ambitions. The Product Owner will lead the squad day-to-day to deliver change and lifecycle activities. They will drive a quarterly prioritisation process for their squad, manage a backlog of initiatives and define metrics and outcomes that align to our strategy.
You will also contribute to the product vision, strategy and customer value proposition for product suite within the Everyday Product Portfolio . You will have exposure to the financial and non-financial performance of your product to deliver exceptional customer and business outcomes. This role reports to the Crew Lead Everyday Products and works closely with the Everyday Products Portfolio value stream.

More specifically you will
- Manage a mix of stakeholders across Domains and/or Business Units or Support Units
- Manage change, product development and delivery where the change process is partially known and one needs to solve problems within the sphere of influence, and the product is designed and delivered with resources (including Technology where applicable) within the Business Unit/ Domain
- Dependencies will be across Domains and/or Business Units or Support Units
- Deliver operational risk and issue management for a large set of controls and management of execution risks/issues
- Advocate and contribute to best practices and share learnings with the Product Owner community within CBA, including mentoring Product Owners and squad members, and challenging and influencing stakeholders across the Crew.
- Define product vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders (Business and Technology) to manage its delivery
- Accountable for end-to-end value delivery and product lifecycle management (including managing requirements lifecycle, production deployment and release day coordination and sign off). Works with the squad and the crew to determine who is best to perform change request and delivery framework related administrative tasks
- Act as the voice of the customer and business and translate this for the squad
- Apply expertise to support prioritisation, balance trade-offs, and explore strategies to successfully achieve business and customer outcomes
- Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations
- Drive product exploration (e.g. using design thinking and analytics) and formulate hypotheses to validate product strategy / design
- Ensure all obligations across customer, regulatory, internal policy and process frameworks (e.g. GDF, PDDP, RiC) are fully met and satisfied
- Identify, articulate and manage risks, dependencies and compliance across streams of work (e.g. customer propositions)
- Maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes
- Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to
- Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking
- Role model continuous improvement and customer focus
- Drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity (i.e. sprint burn down, release burn up, and squad/team health) in partnership with Agile Coaches and Performance Leads
- Have Product Owner experience, leading teams to high performance
- Are experienced in the definition and delivery of product roadmaps
- Have substantial experience on systems integration initiatives in a complex environment, working across multiple technology platforms, vendors and business domains. Experience with SAP and ODS favourable
- Experience with Agile frameworks, working within an Agile Matrix would be ideal
- Have experience managing risks and product compliance and using formal methods to document them
- Strong collaboration with teams on work streams/ project activities end-to-end and independently manage deliverables
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
