Senior Packaging & Concept Design Consultant to H&M Beauty – freelance assignment

Job Description

We are looking for a senior Packaging & Concept designer, this is a freelance/consultant assignment for 2025, starting asap. You will work approximately 50-70% on site in our H&M Beauty office in the centre of Stockholm. You will be part of the Beauty marketing team, while your closest immediate collaborators and stakeholders will be with the Design team and Private label assortment team.

What You Will Do

• Work closely within the creative design team to develop new concepts and commercial designs for packaging-related projects across makeup, fragrance, beauty tools, and/or miniature beauty products
• Sketch and design packaging including primary components and secondary boxes
• Present work to related stakeholders and teams within the Beauty department and incorporate feedback as needed
• Research trends in packaging and across beauty/fashion landscape to stay up-to-date on new trends
  
  
  

Who You Are

We look for someone bringing the following experiences and strengths:

• 4-6+ years experience with packaging design for design agencies and/or in-house brands
• Strong ability to develop unique concepts and expressions within packaging based on trends and according to brief/brand guidelines
• Experience with beauty packaging and/or strong interest in the beauty sector
• Highly skilled with all Adobe platforms especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and main color-matching systems
• Demonstrate ability to sketch in 2D and render products and packaging components to demonstrate proof of concept
• Extremely attentive to detail and self-sufficient, you must be able to manage projects independently, timelines and communication with necessary stakeholders with ease
• A strong collaborator and ability to interpret feedback from various stakeholders into strong design solutions
• Passionate about and updated on latest global retail, beauty, fashion, and/or packaging trends
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
