HR MANAGER

CROCK, COBURG GERMANY – PERMANENT


Working for an industry leader with huge expertise in sophisticated thermoplastic parts manufacturing to advance the possibilities of lightweight automotive parts design for the global vehicle industry.


Job Overview:

The HR Manager will report directly to the plant manager and will be dotted line to the head of HR located in the company’s HQ. The HR manager will work with other managers and employees in order to provide full support in all areas of HR.


Main focus: recruiting and onboarding new employees, employee relations, HR processes, company policies, HRIS (HR records and documentation), payroll support and benefits.

This high-profile position will require a leader who has previous experience managing a fast-paced global and high-performance solutions organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives to create structure, HR processes, performance systems, solutions and metrics to support business goals, company culture and company growth
  • Drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws governing employment.
  • Recruiting and staffing - posting positions, interviewing candidates, checking references and processing all pre-employment testing, drafting employment contracts, etc.
  • Manage the on-boarding and new hire orientation programs and assist with other various employee training programs
  • Analyze training needs to design training plans for employee development, mandatory training and health and safety programs
  • Handling benefits administration and educate employees regarding company benefits and policies
  • Prepare, ensure and maintain job documentation and job evaluation
  • Resolve employee relations issues and escalating when appropriate
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Working closely with the company management, coaching on HR issues and resolving HR challenges


Education/Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of well-rounded HR Generalist hands-on experience with multiple HR disciplines: compensation, benefits, employee and labour relations, employment laws & compliance, HR systems and recruiting
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Experience working for an International company is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to forge trusting and collaborative relationships
  • Strong organizational, consulting and negotiation skills.
  • Must be service driven and able to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in accordance with ever-changing deadlines and priorities
  • Can-do approach, resourceful, and independent.


Experience and Skills:

  • High English level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experienced with ERP system is an advantage


Language Skills

Good knowledge of spelling and grammar in German – preferably native. - DEAL BREAKER

Good written and spoken English. - DEAL BREAKER


Must have an automotive/manufacturing industry background - DEAL BREAKER

• Monitoring absenteeism rate- reducing it when it's needed

• Monitoring the number of temp employees with the Production Manager

• Providing monthly reports to HQ
