KPMG's Advisory practice is one of the largest Advisory businesses worldwide and the major growth area for our organization. Our services are focused on the Finance Function, and we work with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in Growth, Governance and Performance. Our Advisory teams support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition. We help them to become more efficient and provide support as they adapt to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing business environment.


Sub-Business Unit Overview: Deals Advisory


Deals Advisory helps clients see beyond immediate challenges to future opportunities. By giving clients, the confidence to make the right decision at the right time, we empower businesses with the tools to drive strategic change.


Role Overview


Manages one or more client engagements or components of large-scale engagements of moderate complexity Provides technical knowledge, coaching and training to junior team members Ensures effective engagement management by achieving the required realization, revenue and profitability targets. May participate in day-to-day management of team on engagements including coaching, providing constructive feedback and performance development This role also has an increased focus on business development and building networks


Primary Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


• Ability to lead strategy engagements from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables within budgets and timelines, with limited involvement of Partners and Directors

• Possess high analytical skills, ability to connect with CXO, senior client leaders and think strategically while leading on delivery of strategy engagements. Should have experience in working on several strategic tools, frameworks etc.

• Adept at managing client stakeholders from the government sector; also open to work on Government timings if working on Government engagements

• Proven abilities to undertake complex financial modeling exercise; ability to read and understand balance sheets, financial ratios etc.

• Self-driven, strong perseverance, goal-oriented mindset, and ability to go extra mile to manage deadlines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex business challenges and design solutions.

• Ability to conduct stakeholder workshops, presentations, and executive briefings.

• Review and undertake forecasting, reconciliate forecasted to actuals of the allocated projects using available tools provided by KPMG and timely update Partners and Directors

• Manage resource allocations and undertake timely review of the same

• Willing to travel for work – to meet client, conduct studies and deliver work

• Compulsorily follow all the risk management processes as prescribed by KPMG; demonstrate accuracy and compliance with the risk management process.


Qualification and Experience


• Strong BIG4 /strategy firm experience in GCC/Middle east region for 7+ years focusing on strategy formulation, business plan studies and feasibility studies

• Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, industrial sector, construction, oil/gas, financial services etc; comfortable working across multiple industries and managing diverse projects

• Strong skills in financial modeling and good exposure to digital, IT and innovation

• Excellent professional fluency and communication skills in both - English and Arabic (written and spoken).

• Ability to work under time and budget pressure and remain calm and always composed.

• Be respectful at work – with colleagues and seniors

• Excellent academic credentials – e.g., MBA/CFA/ Master Finance / related discipline is needed

• Proven skills in project management (preferably with PMI and/or Prince 2 certification) multi-tasking, and compliance with engagement related processes

• Strong business development to identify and secure new business opportunities

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
