Freelance Backend Java Developer with Oracle experience

We are looking for a Backend Java Developer with strong experience in Oracle databases and familiarity with Agile methodologies to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Oracle DBAs to develop, integrate, and optimize backend solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java development, and will be comfortable working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java with a focus on integration with Oracle databases. Build robust, high-performance, and scalable backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with Oracle DBAs to integrate Java applications with Oracle databases, optimizing SQL queries and ensuring seamless data flow and transactions.
• Work on optimizing database performance, query efficiency, and data integrity by fine-tuning Java-Oracle integrations and addressing any potential bottlenecks.
• Actively participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure continuous delivery through iterative development and constant collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Create technical documentation for the backend systems, database integration points, and the overall architecture to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Backend Java Developer with a strong understanding of Java programming, object-oriented design, and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle 11g, 12c, or higher), including experience with database schema design, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience in integrating Java applications with Oracle databases, including handling data synchronization, batch processing, and high-volume data handling.
• Proficiency with SQL and ability to write optimized queries for performance and scalability.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an Agile team environment.
