Embedded System Engineer

Join our client's team in Helsinki, where you'll work on secure firmware, trusted execution environments (TEE), and cryptographic protection for next-generation embedded systems. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in telecom security, IoT, and critical infrastructure protection.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop secure firmware for RISC-V-based embedded platforms, with a focus on secure boot, encryption, and trusted execution.
• Design and implement hardware-based security features, including TEE, HSM, and anti-tamper mechanisms.
• Work on secure firmware updates (OTA), root of trust (RoT), and side-channel attack mitigation.
• Optimize firmware for low-power, high-security applications in telecom, IoT, and industrial systems.
• Collaborate with hardware designers, cryptography experts, and security researchers to enhance system resilience.

What You Bring:

• Strong background in embedded software development (C/C++, Rust, assembly).
• Expertise in RISC-V architecture and its security capabilities.
• Experience with secure boot and cryptographic protocols.

Bonus Skills and Experience for this role:

• Familiarity with secure communication protocols and hardware root of trust.
• Knowledge of hardware security vulnerabilities and attack mitigation techniques.
