Senior Java Software Engineer

About us:

MarketLeap is building a new ecommerce platform designed for accelerating Digitally Native Brands (DNBs) growth across multiple marketplaces in EMEA. Our mission is to pave the way for transforming the ecommerce landscape and to capture a multi-billion-dollar overlooked opportunity.

We're well-funded and backed by top investors, and are now looking for smart and ambitious engineers to grow our founding tech team, based in Luxembourg.

Skills you need to be great at this job:

• Proven expertise in writing logical, maintainable, and scalable code in Java (or another JVM language like Kotlin).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working with complex algorithms and data structures.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex system architectures.
• Insist on high standards when it comes to software quality, tests and operational excellence.
• Experience (or interest) with AWS, distributed systems, serverless and event-driven architectures.

What success looks like in the first 6+ months:

• You demonstrated your technical proficiencies by delivering high-quality features.
• You took the lead on a major project, driving it from conception to delivery, while mentoring junior team members.
• You participated in the overall improvement of our engineering practices.
• You showed that you care about what we build and the future of our group.
