Position: Weather AI Specialist

Location: Geneva, 4 days a week onsite

This is a highly specialized role with one of the world's leading energy and commodity groups blending machine learning, quantitative analysis and how they intersect with weather/climate data.

My client are committed to combatting climate change and have set an ambitious target for the majority of their investment capital to go into sectors that are advancing the renewable energy transition.

You will be part of a new AI function exploring novel and advanced ways in which AI can SOTA models can drive greater investment returns.

You will be the "weather AI" specialist, who will design forecasting algorithms to generate better returns for renewable energy trades.

Key Skills

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Atmospheric Science, Applied Mathematics, or a highly quantitative field.
• weather and climate modeling, numerical weather prediction (NWP), and meteorological datasets.
• Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost) and data processing tools (Pandas, NumPy, Dask).
• Big data and cloud computing technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark, Kubernetes).
• Multimodal AI techniques, such as fusion of time-series, geospatial, and textual data
• Experience working in quantitative trading, energy markets, or commodities trading is a strong plus.
