We work on a project basis (in the EU and beyond), to this day we have already implemented over 320 projects and currently, we are working on another 45 projects. We have a wide range of clients from the financial sector, fintech, government projects, manufacturing companies etc.

WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

Avalanche Labs is looking for a Business Lead to join our growing team. Your first project will be with the largest insurance company in the Nordics. In this role, you will drive the strategic and operational success of the IAM (Identity & Access Management) Security Team. You will be the key link between business stakeholders, security experts, and technical teams, ensuring that IAM initiatives align with broader company objectives.

WHAT WE EXPECT

✅ IAM & Cybersecurity Business Expertise – Strong understanding of IAM concepts, security governance, and regulatory requirements in the insurance or financial industry.

✅ Leadership & Project Management – Experience leading security-focused teams, managing projects, and aligning IAM initiatives with business goals.

✅ Strategic Thinking – Ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable business strategies.

✅ Stakeholder Management – Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT security, compliance, and senior leadership.

✅ Risk & Compliance Awareness – Familiarity with IAM risk assessment, access governance, and industry regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).

✅ Clear Communication Skills – Ability to explain security concepts in a non-technical, business-friendly way to different stakeholders.

✅ Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive, analytical thinker who can navigate challenges in a dynamic environment.

✅ Experience in Large-Scale Organizations – Prior experience in insurance, banking, or consulting is a plus.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

➡️ Lead IAM Strategy & Execution – Drive the development and execution of IAM security strategies that align with business needs.

➡️ Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with Group IT Security, IAM technical teams, compliance, and business leaders to ensure IAM objectives are met.

➡️ Governance & Compliance Oversight – Ensure IAM initiatives comply with industry regulations and internal security policies.

➡️ IAM Roadmap & Planning – Define IAM priorities, manage resources, and oversee the implementation of security projects.

➡️ Process Optimization – Identify gaps in IAM governance, propose improvements, and drive efficiency in identity and access management.

➡️ Support Change Management – Educate teams on IAM best practices, security policies, and compliance requirements.
