Research Engineer I / Research Engineer II (Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence)

The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) represents a key collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund, ANGEL creates and deploys impactful green digital technologies for global sustainability.

ANGEL is looking for a motivated Research Engineer to develop PrimeNet.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting cutting-edge research to develop new algorithms
• Exploring existing literature and staying up to date with advancements in the field
• Designing experiments to test hypotheses and validate models
• Translating research concepts into working prototypes
• Developing software, algorithms, or hardware systems for real-world applications
• Writing clean, efficient, and scalable Python code
• Collecting, preprocessing, and analyzing large datasets
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights from data.
• Proficiency in Python for implementing NLP and Generative AI algorithms.
• Understanding of NLP concepts, machine learning algorithms, and their applications in text processing and generation.
• Capacity to address research challenges creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting research findings and presenting them to diverse audiences.
