Job Description

Wobitech, an Australian-based custom software and mobile app development company, is seeking a skilled Mobile App Developer with expertise in Flutter and a solid foundation in mobile engineering and maintenance. This role focuses on implementing new user interfaces, features, and automated unit and integration tests.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, fixing bugs as necessary.
• Continuously research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile app development.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement design specifications.
• Integrate Google Maps, geocoding, and other location-based services to enhance application functionality.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of mobile app development, from code initiation to app store publishing.
• Proficiency in Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) platforms.
• Experience in developing applications with Flutter, including Google Maps integration and geocoding.
• Proficiency in writing automated tests (JUnit, Espresso, Mocha, Jest, Enzyme, XC Test, etc.).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and networking libraries (Retrofit, Axios, Alamofire).
• Experience with JSON and XML formats.
• Skilled in profiling and debugging mobile applications.
• Understanding of architectural patterns (MVP, MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Familiarity with version control (Git, GitHub).
• Experience with push notifications and mobile design guidelines specific to each platform.
• Knowledge of integrating GPS, Bluetooth, and third-party services (Facebook, Firebase).
• Knowledge of payment gateway integration.
• Experience with hybrid frameworks like Flutter or React Native.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mobile Application Developer with a strong portfolio of iOS and Android apps.
• Proficient in Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS).
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
