Cyber Security Analyst - $130k - $160k + Super

Location: Sydney - Hybrid

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our clients team! If you're passionate about protecting information assets and systems from cyber threats, unauthorised access, and data breaches, this role is for you.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and strengthening our security infrastructure. You'll apply your technical expertise and analytical skills to safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our organisation's data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage security protocols for computer systems, networks, and information to ensure protection against cyber threats.
  • Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents, using your analytical skills to counteract potential threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organisation is prepared for unforeseen events.
  • Provide security awareness training to employees, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organisation.
  • Configure and manage security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and patch management systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, new threats, and best practices to improve security measures continuously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security or cybersecurity role.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, data loss prevention, and web proxy tools.
  • Experience with network security and security monitoring tools.
  • Ability to analyse security incidents and implement effective responses.
  • Knowledge of the latest security principles, techniques, and security audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and educating employees on security best practices.
