Senior FPGA Engineer - Field Programmable Gate Arrays

Our esteemed client, a well established Fin-Tech/Trading Platform based in Frankfurt is looking for Senior FPGA Engineers.

In the ongoing strive for low latency they are building out a new team to further strengthen performance with the use of FPGA. We need experienced engineers who can add knowledge and leadership to take this project forward. These projects are designed to push the boundaries of even the most experienced engineers.

Already the fastest comparable platform in the world it is important this remains! This project is critical to the ongoing success of this market leader.

THE ROLE:

• Create next generation FPGA solutions to support ultra-low latency trading systems across the business.
• Work with Tech and business leaders to design and deploy FPGA solutions that help optimize trading system performance.
• Take ownership over projects from conception to final product.
• Clear and concise design, build software by writing clear and understandable code.
• Develop high-performance algorithms tailored to the business model.
• Modify software to fix errors and adapt to new hardware, Improve performance, upgrade interfaces
• Apply Universal Verification Methodology for comprehensive design functional verification.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Solid hardware engineering experience
• Recent experience in digital design for FPGAs
• Experience using VHDL and Verilog
• Experience with High Level Synthesis (HLS) with (C,C+)
• Experience with Python or similar, applications for automating design validation.
• Xilinx Vivada, questa* all relevant
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills, as well as a logical and pragmatic attitude
• Degree or PHD advantageous
• Good English – German is NOT Required
